建筑小区排水用塑料检查井适用于建筑小区（居住区、公共建筑区、厂区等）范围内，埋地深度不大于6M。目前，塑料检查井已经广泛应用于市政排水系统中，尤其是污水排放和绿化带区域的检查井已经广泛使用塑料检查井了。不过塑料检查井在道路上的使用还是比较少。从各方反馈的信息是施工方和设计师认为塑料检查井的抗压能力有限，不足于使用在主干道上。
